Welcome back friends to PrimeTech 18. Today we are going to talk about how to overcome laziness. Well
being lazy is something that we all are guilty at some point of time. Now a lot
of us are guilty because it’s really cold and we don’t want to get up from bed.
A lot of us lazy because of so much work and withdraw not to do anything all
day. But the kind of laziness that we are talking about is a state being
completely idle i.e. desire to do absolutely nothing or a state where in you
start resisting any kind of effort. Now when you are lazy, I believe it can be
real barrier to being successful in your life. So, it is very important that
you overcome laziness. So, all of you who are lazy enough to get your bottom
out of the bed or wherever you are lazing at this time and read it carefully.
We will deal with
laziness by
v Breaking down the task
Now what do I mean by breaking down a
task, now I believe that you are lazy when you see a task that’s need to be
done. You are so overwhelmed and scared because you see this huge task in front
of you that you don’t want to do because you are lazy. But to come out of that
lazy mode you got to break that task into several different tasks. That would
make it easier for me to go through with it one at a time.
v Rest, Sleep & Exercise
Contrary to popular believe that to be
lazy means just resting is not the right thing because when you are lazy it
could also be because you have not enough rest, you not slept enough nor may
you have not exercise enough. So, it’s very important to have proper rest may
be 6-8 hours a day. And you exercise properly and you eat well. That’s help you
be physically fit to overcome laziness to a very large extent.
v Have a vision
Having a vision is nothing but having a
plan what you want to be or what kind of person you would like to be. So, if
you have a laziness issue it is very likely that you will not be successful
into becoming the person that you intend to become, may be personally or in a
professional level. When you have a vision you will automatically motivate
yourself into taking those necessary steps to come out of that lazy mode and do
something in a more active way.
v Weigh the consequences
I say that merely weighing the
consequences of being lazy but also more importantly the benefits of overcoming
laziness. I am sure you know the consequences of being lazy and benefits of
being active.
v Visualization
What is visualization? It is nothing but
imagination. And what is imagination means? It means playing things in your
mind before you are going to do those things. Scientists have proven that
whatever you think you do. If you want to overcome laziness you got to think of
doing things and therefor you will do that when you imagine yourself doing it.
v Procrastinations
Procrastinations are something you need
to strictly avoid. In fact procrastination is one of the huge barriers in
overcoming laziness. It is nothing but delaying which means if have to go out
and take out the trash now you might say Oh! Wait I will just do that an hour’s
time or I will have someone else do it. This actually makes you lazier.
v Learn from others’ success
Now I believe that when you look at successful
people you will see that they have always had an active life. So, if you want to
overcome laziness you got to keep close watch on the lives of those people who
been successful.
